The martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA) was observed across the country including Karachi, Lahore and other major cities amidst strict security arrangements on Monday. The day was also widely observed in neighbouring countries.

Extensive traffic and security plans were developed in order to provide safety to citizens and ensure minimum inconvenience while the Youm-i-Ali processions were underway.

A number of 'sabeels' of cold and sweet drinks were set up for the participants of the processions on the routes lined by thousands of security personnel.

No major untoward incident was reported as the processions concluded peacefully across the country on this Ramazan day.
