LAHORE: The PML-N will celebrate Youm-i-Takbeer on May 28 to commemorate nuclear test it conducted in 1998.

The PML-N will hold a seminar on Tuesday at the party’s Model Town secretariat. PML-N central and provincial leadership will attend the seminar.

A decision to the effect was finalised at a meeting chaired by PML-N Punjab President Rana Sanaullah on Friday.

Sanaullah said Nawaz Sharif conducted the nuclear tests in response to those by India and made the country’s defence impregnable.

Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz said Nawaz Sharif conducted the tests despite international pressure. No compromise could be made on the defence of the country, he said.
