LODHRAN: A man died of heart attack a day after four members of his family were electrocuted near Hasilwala, Haveli Naseer Khan, Kehror Pacca tehsil.

According to family source, Ghulam Rasool was in a shock after he learned about the deaths and suffered a massive heart attack early on Monday that proved fatal.

Ghulam Rasool’s son Yaseen (30), his daughter-in-law Sughra (29), grandson Allah Ditta (6) and granddaughter Alishbah (9) were going to their fields on a bullock cart, when the bull’s hoof touched an 11kv high-tension wire laying on the passage. As a result, the bull suffered electric shock that passed on to all the four members of the family, who were electrocuted.

On the complaint of Yaseen’s brother Allah Wasaya, Dhanot police have lodged an FIR against four officials of the Multan Electric Power Company -- Kehror Pacca executive engineer (EXEN), sub-divisional officer (SDO), line man and line superintendent.

Police said they would also write a letter to Mepco authorities concerned for departmental action against the four officials.
