QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has asked the health department and non-governmental organisations to play their role in eradicating nine diseases attacking children in the province.

During a meeting with a delegation of the health department headed by director general health Dr Shakir Baloch on Friday, the governor was informed that the health department would observe from April 24 an immunisation week against 10 epidemic diseases.

“A one-week campaign would be helpful to create awareness among parents regarding fatal diseases and vaccinate children missed in last campaigns,” the meeting was informed.

The governor said parents must ensure that their children got vaccination which would be helpful in eradication of epidemic diseases.
