ISLAMABAD: The police have issued an advisory for residents warning them of people who may try to enter their homes by impersonating water or electric company representatives.
The message was issued on Wednesday. Police said there had been reports that three or four individuals who entered people’s homes, claiming to be water or electric company representatives visiting to install shower caps and energy-saving light bulbs for free as part of a government programme and then robbing homes at gunpoint.
The police advised residents to keep their doors locked at all times and not to let strangers in the house.
