KARACHI: The city witnessed chilly day on Saturday amid the ongoing cold spell of the current winter season when the mercury fell to 12.5 degrees Celsius, a meteorological department official said.

The official added that the maximum temperature on Saturday went up to 24.3 degrees Celsius when the humidity level in the morning was 54 per cent and 22pc in the evening.

The official said the weather would remain cold during the next 24 hours.

The forecast said the minimum temperature for Sunday would be 11-13 degrees Celsius and the mercury could rise to 24-26 degrees Celsius.

A dry and cold weather and hazy morning is predicted for Sunday.
