TOBA TEK SINGH: Villagers on Monday demanded completion of the under-construction Gojra-Toba and Toba-Shorkot sections of the Motorway (M-4).

They said because of the delayed work on the sections, a link road leading to different villages from Toba-Jhang road interchange had been closed for long and they had to travel several extra kilometers to go to their villages.

Addressing here a press conference, Chaudhry Niaz Ahmad, a former union council nazim and others, said the construction material of the road had been put on the link road of Chak 390-JB, Bajwara, due to which the people were unable to use said road.

SUSPENDED: An assistant education officer (AEO) of the Gojra Education Department has been suspended from service over alleged misbehaviour with the local reporters.

According to sources in the district education department, the CM had taken serious notice of a video clip aired on various TV channels and on social media in which Gojra Education Department AEO Muhammad Shoaib Cheema was seen misbehaving with the reporters.

The secretary schools directed District Education Authority Chief Executive Officer Syed Tauqeer Hussain to hold an inquiry into the matter and to send him report within seven days.
