LAKKI MARWAT: Two people including a college student were killed and another was seriously wounded in separate incidents in parts of the district on Saturday.

Police said that Haseeb Waqas, a student of physics department, was hit and killed by a speedy bus in front of the main gate of Government Postgraduate College Lakki. They said that the deceased was waiting for a vehicle on roadside to go to his village Wazir Kallay when the bus hit him.

The bus was carrying workers of Lucky Cement Factory to the industrial unit in Darra Pezu town from Lakki city.

The injured student was immediately taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police arrested the driver identified as Ameen Jan.

Separately, a man was killed and his companion sustained bullet wounds over a blood feud in Adamzai locality.

Police said that Awal Khan and Saleem Khan were attacked by their rivals when they were returning from fields on the night between Friday and Saturday. Saleem Khan was killed while Awal Khan sustained bullet wounds in the attack. Police registered a case against Shafqatullah, Rizwan and Farman on the complaint of Awal Khan.
