Bahawalpur bag Grade-I NBP T20 blind cricket trophy

LAHORE: Bahawalpur beat Islamabad by 34 runs to clinch the Grade-I NBP T20 blind cricket trophy at Lahore Gymkhana cricket ground here.

Rashid was declared man-of-the-match while Riasat Khan, Badar Munir, Mohammad Akram and Zain Khan also received prizes for best bowler, batsman, fielder and wicket-keeper, respectively.

Islamabad won the toss and asked Bahawalpur to bat first who scored 205 for the loss of six wickets in allotted 20 overs. Mohammad Rashid was their top scorer with 54 runs and Moeen Ali made 25. Anees Javed and Mohammad Osama claimed a wicket a piece.

Chasing the target, Islamabad fell 34 runs short and ended at 171 for six wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Anees Javed (62) was the leading scorer. Sajid Nawaz took two wickets.
