A message to shy people

I want to write a short note for shy people. Confidence is something which we all have, but we don’t bring it out. Let me tell you how to do it.

Start with a strong and persistent desire and then arouse your enthusiasm for it. Think what it can mean to you financially, socially, and in terms of increased influence and leadership. Remember that upon the depth of your desire will depend the swiftness of your progress. You can’t feel confident unless you don’t know what you are going to say. Try your best to replace your shyness into confidence.

One more thing that you should focus on is not to be afraid of anyone. Lack of confidence is the result of not knowing what you can do and that is caused by lack of experience. So, once you have a few successful experiences behind you, your fears will vanish.

My best friend, my diary

This is with reference to the article “My best friend, my diary”, by Arishba Khan (YW, September 23). It wonderfully described the importance of a diary. It encouraged me about writing a diary.

A diary doesn’t require experience, but later it gives us experience. The diary of Malala Yousufzai is a good example of how to express oneself when girls are not allowed to go out and study. A diary supports you when you are alone. It saves your memories for the future and will be a lesson for the future as well.

Sound sleep

There is one essential element missing in the life of most students and that is sound sleep. Going to bed on time, getting good sleep and waking up with sunrise makes a man physically and mentally healthy.

As the old saying goes “It is the early bird who catches the worm.” Catch the day and see more of life.

Doing better this year

This is with reference to the article “Doing better this year” by Talat Naz (YW, September 15).

In order to do our best in our current academic year, one must think about our past mistakes and other things which affected our studies. The article gave us wonderful advice regarding doing well in our studies.

Whether a student is studying in school, college or at university, the techniques discussed in the article are applicable to all. Thinking out of the box and prioritising our weak subjects will admittedly make students get the actual concept.

Having proper check and balance is the theme of the article.
