LAHORE: The police on Sunday arrested 10 affectees of the DHA City for staging a protest outside Prime Minister Imran Khan’s residence at Zaman Park.

Traffic on the Canal Road remained blocked due to the protest and the police were called to disperse the protesters.

The protesters were chanting slogans against the DHA administration. They said they had bought plots in the DHA City, Lahore, eight years ago but they didn’t get the plots or their money back. The protesters appealed to the prime minister to help them obtain their plots. They said they were not being given possession of their plots despite full payment.

Later, a heavy contingent of the police, including anti-riot police officials, reached the spot and started dispersing the protestors to clear the road. During their operation, they arrested 10 protesters, including two women.
