What To Watch Out For
Tajdeed-i-Wafa | Hum TV, Sundays 8.00pm
Written by Samira Fazal and directed by Ilyas Kashmiri, the story dealing with domestic issues is tackled in a lighter vein and revolves round spouses, their parents and kids. Neha (Naveen Waqar) and Asher (Haroon Rashid) are a married couple squabbling over day-to-day issues involving their kids. Asher’s younger brother Arsal (Ahmed Ali Akbar) who loves Hareem (Ainy Jaffery) has issues with his father (Abid Ali) who is a bit of a pain both as a husband and a father, sticking his nose in and criticising everything.
Meanwhile, Hareem has problems with her overly strict mum Madam Sheba Jamal (Laila Zuberi), a school principal. She confiscates Hareem’s cell phone and arranges tuition classes for her daughter so now Hareem has no time to meet Arsal who can’t do without meeting her every day. When he calls Hareem on her mobile Arsal finds himself talking to Madam Sheba Jamal, his ex-principal who used to catch all his pranks in school. Under these circumstances, he hardly stands a chance.
