ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan squash Contingent comprising of seven players along with a coach would be participating in the upcoming Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship which is scheduled to be played in Chennai, India from September 26-29.

Abbas Zeb and Uzair Shaukat would play in the under-19 category while Haris Qasim and Asadullah Khan will play in the under-17 category and Muhammad Hamza Khan and Muhammad Ashab Irfan in the under-15 category. Anas Ali Bukhari would participate in the under-13 age group and Fazal Shah would accompany them as coach during the event.

According to a statement issued by Pakistan Squash Federation, the seedings released by Asian Squash Federation say that Abbas Zeb has been placed at No 4 and Uzair Shaukat at No 12.

In the under-17 category, Haris Qasim has been seeded No 5 and Asadullah at No 16. In the under-15 category, M Hamza Khan has been seededed No 3 and M Ashab Irfan is seeded at No 8 while Anas Ali Shah would play as unseeded player in the under-13 category.

The statement said that the selected players were kept under training at Pakistan National Squash Academy in Islamabad for preparation of the championship. The contingent proceeded to Karachi on Wednesday and after four-day training in Karachi, they would depart for Chennai on 23 September 23.
