THE former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was brought from Adiala prison to the NAB courts in G-11 sector in Islamabad under heavy security escort.

All along this long route, hundreds of security personnel were stationed. Service road south of G-11 sector was closed to traffic for hours, forcing residents of the sector to take long detours when they wanted to exit or enter their area.

This cumbersome exercise was costly. I am sure the ex-prime minister does not enjoy this long and inconvenient ride either. I suggest NAB should hire a house close to the prison and use it as court.
