ISLAMABAD: A man allegedly murdered his wife over a domestic issue on Wednesday, police said.

The couple was married some eight years ago and had five children and had been residing in Itttefaq Town for the last couple of years.

They used to quarrel over petty domestic issues.

On Wednesday, they again engaged in dispute over some issue. In the midst of heated arguments the man pulled out a pistol and fired at his wife’s head killing her on the spot. The man managed to escape.

Later, the body was shifted to a hospital for legal process, the police added.
