ISLAMABAD: A youth was killed and another injured in a road accident on Saturday, police stated.

Mohammad Nazakat 18, along with his brother Mohammad Saqib Omar, 14, was going to Nasirabad on a motorcycle from Chistiabad when a dumper hit them at Peshawar Road roundabout in the limits of the Noon police.

The injured were taken to hospital where Nazakat was pronounced dead. The dumper driver escaped after the accident.

Meanwhile, a native of Charsadda complained to the capital police that a man cheated him by promising to arrange jobs for his relatives.

He said after he gave a cheque for Rs930,000 and cash Rs320,000 to the man, he introduced him to a government officer and later they handed him letters for appointments in a government organisation. But when the appointment letters were taken to the organisation, they turned out to be bogus.
