KARACHI: Rameez Raja and spinner Haseeb-ur-Rehman guided Omar Colts into the semi-finals of the 31st Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan Cup Twenty20 Cricket Tournament with a clinical 56-run win over Soni Associates in a one-sided quarter-final under floodlights here at the AKG Ground on Friday.

Rameez top scored with a dashing 53 off 23 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes. He was adjudged man-of-the-match ahead of slow left-armer Haseeb who picked up four-wicket haul.

Batting first, Omar Colts posted a decent 178-8 with Fouz-ul-Hasan blasting a rapid fire of 42 off 15 deliveries with seven sixes as he and Rameez both added 104 for the second wicket partnership.

Soni Associates, in reply, were restricted to 125-9 with opener Ahmed Hussain scoring 29 off 22 balls with four fours and one six, Khurram contributed 27 off 17 ball with two sixes and two fours while Adeel Khan scored a run-a ball 17.

Haseeb finished with excellent analysis of 4-11.
