MANSEHRA: Five PML-N and PTI activists were injured in an exchange of fire in Dodial area of Mansehra district on Friday night.

They reportedly clashed over diatribes against rival leaders.

The injured, including Nadeem Khan, Shakeel and Mohammad Hamad of the PML-N and Muavia Hussain and Yasir Khan of the PTI, were taken to the Shinkiari civil hospital but the doctors referred them to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital here due to critical condition.

Nadeem Khan, who was admitted to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, told reporters that the dispute began on Facebook but was settled at the intervention of the PML-N and PTI leaders. He alleged that the PTI activists pulled him and others out of their car and fired at them.

The workers of both parties later gathered outside the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital. However, no untoward incident was reported.

The Shinkiari police lodged an FIR and began search for the suspects. However, no arrest was made by night.
