SARGODHA: Nine people died after a dumper truck hit and motorcycle-rickshaw on the Faisalabad-Sargodha road on Sunday.

According to the details, the speeding truck ran over the motorcycle-rickshaw which was overloaded with passengers. As a result, seven of the passengers died on the spot while three were critically injured. The injured were being shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital when two of them succumbed to their injuries. The deceased were identified as Akbar, Umer Hayat, Sohail Masih, Sohail Akbar, Ali Hasnain, Mehboob, Talib Hussain, Atta Muhammad and Janataan boarding rickshaw. All the victims were residents of village Lalian, near to the Pul 111 crushing area.
