MUZAFFARGARH: Police arrested four suspects for allegedly raping and poisoning to death a 14-year-old boy on Sunday.

City Deputy Superintendent of Police Syed Ijaz Bukhari said four men went to the boy’s house in Mouza Lutkran on Saturday and asked his father to let him go out of city with them for labour, which the father allowed.

When the boy returned on Sunday he told his father he had been raped and fed poisonous tablets by the four men.

While he was narrating the ordeal to his family, he lost consciousness. Rescue 1122 was called in that shifted the boy to Nishtar Hospital in Multan where he died.

The family approached District Police Officer Awais Ahmad, who ordered Civil Lines Station House Officer (SHO) Farhan to arrest the culprits. The SHO and his team conducted a raid and arrested the four suspects.

Dera Ghazi Khan Regional Police Officer Sohail Habib Tajik said a case had been registered against the suspects. The boy’s body was sent to hospital for postmortem.
