MULTAN: Veteran politician Javed Hashmi has said Sheikh Rashid in his Wednesday’s press conference has just confirmed what he has been saying since 2014 sit-in about a plan to impose “judicial martial law” in the country.
Talking to the media here on Thursday, Hashmi said as per his earlier warnings a “judicial martial law” was under way and it was nothing new. He said the judiciary had never been independent in the country. He said Sheikh Rashid never did his own politics and had always taken directions from “others”.
He said Senate polls had exposed everyone. “The majority was converted into minority. Horse-trading was resorted to and the one who was having 30 votes got 45 votes,” he said, demanding the Supreme Court should probe the Senate poll. He said the next general elections should be held on time.

Mr Hashmi shoukd understand that no one takes him seriously like Sheikh Rashid especially since he rejoined PML(N). He claims himself to be a champion of democracy and a man of principle. He'd better stay independent rather than rejoining a party which has failed to deliver and follow democratic norms and has promoted civil dictatorship. Alternatively, he should have formed his own political party and brought like minded people into its fold.

Javed Hasmi is a spent bullet and naive.
Under the circumstances of widespread corruption and mistrust on the Election Commission, PPP and PMLN it would be only fair to the people of Pakistan that interim government and electioneering machinery is closely supervised by the judiciary and the armed forces.
This is required as the civil structures are completely biased and broken.
Public only trusts Army and the Judiciary.

Sincere advise to Javed Hashmi is to stay out of Politics. Your mind is not in working conditions as you have worked too long in the corrupt political system. Your mind can not be tuned to the new system. Do us a favour and stay away from Pakistani politics. Give some space to the new players in politics.
