KARACHI: Nazimabad Gymkhana upstaged Rangers CC by five wickets at Annu Bhai Park here the other day to clinch the KCCA Zone-VII ‘A’ Division League title.

Batting first in the final, Rangers recovered from 50-3 to reach 146-9 in the stipulated 30 overs with Khurram Khan (21) and Anas Mustafa (20) being their main run-getters.

Rehan Tanoli and Tauqir Malik shared six wickets between them.

Nazimabad Gymkhana, in reply, achieved victory by posting 148-5 in 26.2 overs with Ali Zafar contributing 46 that included two sixes and as many fours, skipper Owais Ahmed Rehmani 31 (six boundaries), Faraz Patel 26 and Iqbal Sheikh 25.

Rangers CC’ Babar Hussain was declared the tournament’s best batsman for amassing 354 runs at 70.80 in five matches while won the best bowler award for picking up 13 wickets.
