BATTAGRAM: Body of a woman councillor of village council Tamai was found in the limits of Battagram city police station here on Thursday.

According to SHO Waris Khan, family member of the woman councillor, identified as Hussan Nisa, reported to the Battagram police on Monday night that she had gone out for washing clothes in the nearby river of the village in the morning. However, when she did not return home, her family members contacted the police station. Later, her body was found in the river.

The SHO said that the family members of the woman councillor had not registered report of the incident as yet. He said that they would wait for the autopsy report to know about the cause of death. He said that they would start the investigations once they got the report.
