CHARSADDA: The Shabqadar police arrested five suspected terrorists and seized a big cache of weapons and explosives here on Thursday.

After a tip-off about presence of suspected terrorists the Charsadda district police officer ordered a police party comprising DSP Shabqadar Inam Jan, SHO Arif Khan, Inspector Hamid Khan and other police personnel to take immediate action and arrest the suspected terrorists.

During raids in Subhan Khwar area the police party arrested the five suspected terrorists. Following preliminary interrogation the police recovered huge cache of arms and explosives, which included seven mortar shells, five circuit receivers, 20 yards prima card, 40 IEDs, 10 hand grenades, and others items buried under an under-construction bridge at Subhan Khwar.

The arrested suspects included Mohammad Umar of Batkhela, Sulman Farsi of Hayatabad, Peshawar, Mufti Kaleemullah of Bajaur, Qari Fazlullah of Bajaur presently residing in Peshawar, and Inayatullah of Bajaur presently residing in Abbottabad. They were taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
