ISLAMABAD: Two people were killed in separate accidents in the capital on Thursday.

Police said Mohammad Javaid was walking along the Kuri Road when a speeding vehicle hit and killed him.

In another incident, a labourer working at the Islamabad Expressway near Kural died after he was knocked down by a car. The victim was identified as Sadiq Mohsin.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Car Lifting Cell arrested a suspect on the charge of stealing motorcycles.

The police said two bikes along with a 30-bore pistol were recovered from the arrested man.
