ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s tennis legend Hameed-ul-Haq will participate in the ITF Asian Seniors Championship being held in Pattaya, Thailand from Oct 28 to Nov 2 this year.
Hameed, a recipient of the Pride of Performance Award (2000) and Davis Cup Commitment Award (2017), will leave for Bangkok on Oct 25 to participate in the seniors 55 & over (singles and doubles) categories of the grade-II event.
Hameed won the ITF Asian Seniors Championship seven times (two times in 35-plus category, twice in 40-plus and three times in 45-plus).
“I will be participating in the 55-plus category for the first time and I have started special training for this event,” the statement quoted Hameed as saying.
