TAXILA: A man, who allegedly murdered 10 members of a family, in 2011 was stabbed to death by the lone survivor in Kaloo Kallan village in the Hazro police area on Saturday.

The lone survivor was later beaten to death by the family members of the accused.

Police sources said the alleged murderer of 10 had illicit relations with the wife of the survivor who was working abroad at that time.

One day her father-in-law caught her with the man and voiced alarm, awakening all the members of the family. This panicked the accused who killed all the members of the family, including three minors, and escaped.

When the husband of the woman received the news about the incident he resigned from his job and returned to the country and launched a hunt for the killer.

After searching for him for almost six years, he found the accused and stabbed him after tying him with ropes near Samaan village.

Later, when he tried to kill other family members of the accused, he was beaten to death.
