A little help spreads smiles

This is regarding the story “A little help spreads smiles” by Muneeba Ismail (YW, July 8). It was a simple but a well-written story with a very deep message.

It is true that a simple help can become a source of happiness for someone. We all should help others in any way possible irrespective if their race, class and religion, because every religion teaches us the lesson to help others. Some ask for help but some don’t even show if they’re in a trouble.

It is our duty to observe our class fellows, neighbours, friends and siblings if they need help.

Parents should also teach their children to help those in trouble, in order to make them good and responsible citizens.

Independence Day

This is the month of independence — the month in which Muslims sacrificed their lives and wealth to get a separate homeland.

We didn’t get Pakistan as a reward, it was the result of the efforts of Quaid-i-Azam and the people who followed him in the great cause.

We kids should remember the importance of this month and work for the prosperity and sanctity of our country.

Are UFOs real?

I like reading Young World very much and I would like to share my views on “Are UFOs real?”, (YW, July 8) compiled by Ambreen Arshad.

I think there is extraterrestrial life because the universe is immense and we have just discovered a bit of it.

There are infinite stars and probably one of them hosts life. Some theories explain that life on Earth started when a meteor crashed into Earth with life in it.

There are some planets with identical atmosphere as Earth.

There have been many UFO sightings, like a space shuttle recorded a video in which some things were going out into space from Earth with great speed.

From all these facts I believe there may be extraterrestrial life.

Real independence

This is with reference to the story

“Real independence”

by Afrah Saleem (YW, August 12).

I really enjoyed reading the story and got two important lessons.

First, real independence is spiritual not physical. Second, people say a lot of things behind our back, but it is really a waste of time to focus on them.

We should always remain positive.

The silence of the US and some other Western countries over the raid on the Iranian consulate has only provided impunity to the Zionist state.
