SHANGLA: A girl and a boy were shot dead for honour in Dunai Karora area here on Wednesday, police said.

SHO Bakht Zahir told reporters that the girl and boy were allegedly killed by the former’s brother and father in the name of honour.

The two were shot dead when they were sitting in corn fields. Later, the police took the bodies to the area rural health centre, and also lodged FIR in the case.

Police said the girl’s family claimed she had illicit relations with the boy for which they killed both of them. The girl was aged 19, and the boy, 22.

Police said they had started search to arrest the alleged killers.
