LANDI KOTAL: Beheaded body of a ‘Khasadar’ was found in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency on Tuesday.
Family sources said that Mehran Afridi, who was substituting for one of Khasadar officials who was his relative, went missing on June 26 and his beheaded body was found in Jamalkhel Khwar the next morning.
Initially, it was taken as a targeted killing, but later it emerged that Mehran was allegedly killed in an honour-related incident. Family sources, however, refused to share details of the incident. Mehran belonged to Turkhel sub-tribe of Kukikhel and was not a regular employee of the Khasadar Force.
