ON June 23, a little after Friday prayers, a heartrending incident occurred in Quetta when a serving legislator’s vehicle trampled upon the law by driving over a traffic constable.

I demand that MPA Majeed Achakzai should be held accountable even if the family concurs to pardon the culprit. If we want the rule of law, there’s a need to set example in this regard.

I WOULD like to draw the attention of the government towards the accident involving Balochistan MPA Majeed Achakzai on Friday. The accident not only took the life of traffic sergeant Haji Attauallah, but also exposed the ugly face of the assembly and its members.

It is ironic that the ones elected to make our rules and regulations violate them.

MPA Achakzai had done this crime some months earlier with some nurses.

I ask the authorities concerned to taket action against the erring MPA.
