LAHORE: The Anti-corruption Tribunal of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday rejected PCB lawyer’s request for presenting accused cricketer Sharjeel Khan as witness in the PSL spot-fixing case.

Talking to media, Sharjeel’s lawyer Shaighan Ijaz said it was a victory of his stance that Sharjeel could not be forced to appear before the tribunal as a witness as no law allows it.

He said the decision had also proved that the PCB had no strong evidences against Sharjeel in any spot-fixing.

Meanwhile, the tribunal has called former Test cricketer Aaqib Javed as court witness to appear before it on July 8.
