KARACHI: Dollar East lifted the 30th Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan Trophy T20 title when they beat Saeed Ajmal International Cricket Academy (SAICA) by 51 runs in the final at the AKG Ground here on Wednesday.

Dollar East reached 190-6 after asked to bat first with Mir Afzal Baig smashing a hurricane 57 off 33 balls with four sixes and two fours, captain Mohammad Sami blasting three fours and two sixes in a 16-ball unbeaten knock of 34, Umar Akmal contributing 36 off 19 balls with four fours and one six and Jahandad Khan making 40 off 32 balls with four fours and one six.

Median pacer Abdul Razzaq grabbed three wickets for 27 runs.

SAICA, in reply, ended up totalling 139-8. Ali Usman was top scorer with 26, while Abdul Razzaq and Zeeshan Ashraf both scored 25 apiece.

Slow Left armer Saadat Munir captured three wickets for 36 runs.

Former Pakistan captain Moin Khan graced the final as the chief guest and distributed the prizes. Dollar East skipper Mohammad Sami collected the winners’ trophy and cash award of Rs500,000. SAICA captain Sabir Hussain received the runners-up prize of Rs250,000 besides the trophy.

Zeeshan Ashraf Ashraf SAICA (306 runs) was declared tournament’s best batsman and received Rs10,000; Saadat Munir (11 wickets) was named the best bowler while Mir Afzal Baig was man-of-the-final and picked up Rs7,000.

AKG honorary secretary Khaliq Pasnani presented a shield to the chief guest Moin Khan, while thanking the sponsors.

Also presented were Dollar East sports chief Zaheer Ahmed sheikh, Amin Lakhani (HBL), Shams Essani (HBL), senior member finance AKG Al Amin Turyani, senior umpire Riazuddin, AKG cricket convener AKG Mir Afzal Baig, Ahsan Zaheer Sheikh, AKG manager Altaf Asrani, Mohsin Zaheer Sheikh, Zulfiqar P. Khan, members tournament committee Saleem Nadir, Irfan Surani, Zafar Baig, Azeem Dhanani and media manager Mohammad Nizam.
