LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to visit London next week for his medical checkup.

Mr Sharif, who along with his family is presently in Saudi Arabia to perform Umra, will arrive in London on June 25, while his appointment for checkup is scheduled for June 27, family sources say.

It will be a routine checkup, they say. He will be accompanied by his son Husain Nawaz and wife Kulsoom Nawaz.

The prime minister had undergone a second cardiac procedure in a UK hospital in May the previous year when Panama case had begun to unfold. His post-surgery rest for many weeks there led to the impression that the prolonged stay was aimed at lessening the panama pressure.
