KHAIRPUR: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and his predecessor Syed Qaim Ali Shah are expected to inaugurate the three-day 196th Urs celebrations of Sufi saint Sachal Sarmast at Daraza Sharif on 14th of Ramazan, according to Sachal Yadgar Committee.

The committee which met at Daraza Sharif, 41km from here on Friday, with Sukkur Commissioner Mohammad Abbas Baloch in the chair, finalised arrangements for the Urs and said that 700 police personnel would provide security and Rangers and police vans would keep patrolling the National Highway near the shrine during the three days of Urs.

The Urs would feature adabi conference, mushaira, sughar conference, Mehfil-i-Sama, musical programme, exhibition and stage drama Sachal saaro sach, it said.

The meeting was attended by committee members ASP Imran Mirza, Lal Mohammad Mangi, Gambat municipal committee chairman Khalid Shaikh, Amar Iqbal, all taluka assistant commissioners, DSPs and other officials concerned.
