SHANGLA: A second year student was killed when a truck hit a motorcycle he was riding on Bisham road here on Saturday.

An official at the Dandai police station said that two students were going to Maira area from Dandai on a motorcycle when it was hit by a truck. The accident resulted in the death of Sharif Chalak, while the other student was injured.

Local people reached the spot immediately after the accident and shifted the dead and the injured student to the nearby rural health centre, from where the injured student was referred to Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad in precarious condition. The deceased was the student of a private college.

Later, the body of the student was handed over to his family members.
