KHAR: Gul Mast Khan, a resident of Shinkoot area of Khar tehsil, who was wounded in a roadside bomb blast on Friday, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital here on Saturday.

The deceased along with his two children was coming home from a nearby mosque after offering Friday prayers when they were allegedly targeted with a bomb. The explosion occurred near his home. His 12-year- old son, Marwan, was killed on the spot, while he himself and his another son, Farmanullah, had received serious injuries in the blast.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man identified as Siraj Khan was shot dead in Hayati area of Utman Khel tehsil on Saturday.

According to a local administration official, personal enmity was likely the cause of the killing. The official said that the deceased was a resident of Tarano area of Salarzai tehsil, and had been residing in Hayati area owing to the enmity.

Following the incident, the political administration took into custody several people.

However, the attackers were reported to have escaped the spot after committed the crime.
