BATKHELA: Three wedding guests were killed, while four others, including the bride, got critical injuries when roof of a house collapsed at Skhakot in Malakand protected area on Monday.

According to residents and Levies personnel, the guests were busy in taking food when roof a room of the house, where the bride was sitting, caved-in in Marshakhel village. As a result guests identified as wife of Bacha Room, Obaid, and Okasha were killed while wife of Fazal Ghani; Asma Bibi; wife of Bakht Nawab, and the bride got critical injuries. The killed belonged to Rahimabad area of Mingora.

The locals retrieved the bodies and the injured from the rubble and shifted them to tehsil headquarters hospital, Dargai.

Meanwhile, a 50-year-old man was killed after being struck by a speeding passenger van near Skhakot area on Monday.

The deceased identified as Syed Faqir of Ghawar Kalley was crossing the road at Jazono Dag when a speeding coach hit him. The man got critical injuries and died while being taken to hospital. The Malakand Levies lodged FIR against the driver and started investigation.
