KOHAT: The police on Friday arrested two more accused in the murder case of NGO worker, Hina Shahnawaz, who was killed in the name of honour on Feb 7 inside her house.

A statement issued here said a police team raided houses in Ustarzai and arrested Hamad Azam and Moazam Ali, who were part of the jirga which had allegedly given the ruling to kill Ms Shahnawaz for doing job in an NGO. The police had earlier held Zulfiqar Ali alias Bhutto from Rawalpindi for planning the murder and two other jirga members identified as Shah Alam, Riaz Ali. A policeman, Mosham Ali, has also been arrested in connection with the case.

However, efforts are continuing for the arrest of the main accused, Mehboob Alam, and Ms Shahnawaz’s cousin, Mehran Ali, who are still at large. The police got a three-day physical remand of the two arrested persons from the court for further investigation.
