KARACHI: A man was found shot dead at a deserted place in Orangi Town on Friday, police said.

The man, in his mid-30s, was found shot dead near Hawwa Goth, said an official at the Iqbal Market police station.

He added that the victim had been kidnapped and killed somewhere else before his body was dumped at the deserted place near Hawwa Goth sometime late Thursday night.

No spent bullet casing was found near the body nor was any bloodstain spotted there, the officer said.

The corpse was shifted to the Edhi morgue for identification after a post-mortem examination carried out at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, he added.
