Lahore Literary Festival made changes to its itinerary following the explosion in the city Thursday afternoon.

The fest which was to be a three-day event this weekend starting Friday, Feb 24 will now only be a one day event held on Saturday, Feb 25. Due to safety concerns, the organisers have also shifted the venue to Faletti's Hotel, Egerton Road.

"The revised, robust program celebrates the written word, the arts, and activism from Pakistan and abroad," said Razi Ahmed, founder and CEO of LLF.

If you're in Lahore, you should definitely try to make it to the LLF since the the line-up of panelists includes eminent names from Pakistan as well as Lebanon, Syria, Indonesia, South Africa, Germany, the US and the UK.

One session not to miss would be 'Not a Nice Man at All' which will see famous comedian and Monty Python actor Michael Palin in conversation with Kamila Shamsie.

Then there's 'Wives, Daughters and Courtesans of the Raj' and 'Pakistan at 70' for history buffs, for those fascinated by history and politics there's 'Nixon, Mao and Pakistan'. Other equally intriguing sessions are 'Pakistan’s Protest Artists', 'Naya Savera' and 'Today in Fake News.'

Here's the itinerary:

The event will be held this Saturday and will start at 10am and end at 6pm.

I do not know why this time that much fear is being deliberately propagated by authorities yeas all this happened after long pause but at least our nation has seen much darker days. Over reaction of authorities is contributing towards FEAR than to make people feel safe and secure. c
