I miss Fawad Khan a lot: Kapoor & Sons director

If somebody wants to work legally in India, it should be open, he added

Kapoor & Sons has come and gone, but the Fawad hangover subsists in B-town.

And who can blame them?

In a recent interview with Indian Express, his Kapoor & Sons director Shakun Batra shared why Fawad makes such a solid impression.

“I miss him a lot. I don’t know if I am supposed to be quiet about it.. and I don’t miss him because of any other things, I miss him simply because he is a great guy and he is a lovely collaborator."

He added, "We Indians who work around the world, we do it legally, similarly, if somebody else wants to work legally in our country, it should be open. It should be a two-way street.”

Kapoor & Sons was Fawad's second Bollywood venture after 2014's Khoobsurat. He then made an extended cameo in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which was a contentious release in India due to Fawad's Pakistani nationality. Due to escalating political tensions between Pakistan and India, Pakistani talent have been banned from working in India for an indefinite period.

I pray this apparent political enmity ends soon and people from both sides are allowed to move across the borders. Ameen.

"Artists have no boundaries"...what a load of crap. By that logic, no engineer, no doctor, no other professional has any boundary. You have to follow the rules of the society in which you live - all of them !! Can't just pick and choose.

@Abhijit Deshpande There is no rule in Indian constitution that bars Pakistani professionals to work on India.

Fawad is better off not being part of indian cinema . I think there is so much bad blood on the border and loc that this maybe not the best time for entertainment .

@Atticus from India - haha. Not everything is written in constitution. These decis ions are taken by the govt. Of the day, as per situations. Please get an education, how to read constitution, law & govt.

@Ajay vikram singh Supermarkets aisles are loaded with Indian products here. Never missed them. Your govt is only discouraging cultural exchanges which help common people make decisions about each other. Clever and maleficent.
