Angry Twitter users vented their frustration shortly after a blast at a shrine in Sehwan killed at least 50 people, hitting out at Sindh's ruling PPP for what they said is a "failure to build hospitals" in rural Sindh.

With scores injured critically, ambulances are rushing the wounded for treatment to Jamshoro — a two hour drive from the site of the attack — as it is the closest city with a hospital.

As Pakistan reels from the fourth deadly attack in as many days, several social media users tweeted their disillusionment:

'No ambulance'

'No major hospital'

'PPP's neglect'

Although many Twitter users thundered at the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), some hit out at the federal government and security forces for what they said is a failure of the National Action Plan (NAP) — a counter-terrorism policy developed in 2015 after militants stormed an army school in Peshawar, killing over 140 children.

Vocal Twitter activist Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, the sister of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, however hit out at failure of NAP and security agencies for "daily attacks".

Very sad day for Humanity .. India and Pakistan should just put aside all the difference and put the defence money for building schools hospitals and roads .. Otherwise History will not forgive Indian and Pakistan leaders

Raja Islam Feb 16, 2017 11:50pm

Sindh government should take responsibility for its failure to provide security.

Sara Feb 16, 2017 11:49pm

NAP may have failed but providing health care to the citizens should never fail. PPP ministers have slept in a slumber for 2 generations. Forget Sehwan, there's not even a decent sized hospital or medical facilities/ambulances available or even proper roads built in Larkana, which has always been the winning constituency of Bhutto/Benzair/Zaradari. This is a wake-up call for Bilawal.

Khan Feb 16, 2017 11:57pm

NAP not the biggest issue here . Big issue is the rulings party of sindh.

anonymous Feb 17, 2017 12:27am

@Sara it is a wakeup call for people. they should elect honest and just leader/party!

Abbas Feb 17, 2017 12:31am

It's the corruption of our current political leadership and we are to blame for supporting them one way or the other.

MAGISTER Feb 17, 2017 01:03am

They built palaces not hospitals.

Prasad Feb 17, 2017 01:16am

Forget about government. Somebody must take initiative now even shrine gets thousands of ruppes/day. They can start a hospital with public help. Don't even ask the government take the responsibility as citizens. Only common man unity and good intentions can turn Pakistan around.

Parvez Feb 17, 2017 01:15am

Where have all the development funds for Sindh gone ?

KHan USA Feb 17, 2017 01:32am

Bukhtawar In , Bilawal Out !

Fareed N Feb 17, 2017 02:04am

Does n't matter who we blame for this carnage, the fact is terrorism is winning. it is difficult almost impossible to provide foolproof security at each Mazar, dargahs, mosque. When a man is willing to trade his life, how do you stop him ?

white noise Feb 17, 2017 02:15am

such sad state of affairs, everyone wants to blame each other, no one rises up to fix anything.

Akil Akhtar Feb 17, 2017 03:24am

And PPP opposes any action in Sindh or Karachi....

Ahmed Feb 17, 2017 03:44am

Sad.

Azi Feb 17, 2017 04:30am

Keep voting PPP and PMLN. Its not like this awam ever learns from history.

Farhan Feb 17, 2017 04:47am

Shameless leaders

Be Happy Feb 17, 2017 04:47am

Everyone is to be blamed. Federal government for not getting their act together and put the NAP. Local government not providing basic necessity to common man. PPP has ruled Sindh for god know how long yet they are most under developed. PML-N has ruled Punjab and they are no good either. Leave Lhr and go to any part of Punjab and you will see. Our lawmakers shd focus on education, Health and jobs. give ppl hope to live and let live. Poor ppl see their families die everyday. due to hungry, un justice, poverty. its ppl like these who become terrorist and brainwashed. So their family can get some money to live. What have we become of our self. looting one another, abusing one another, if one is powerful they want to crush others. Not knowing that if one day you are in power than next day you might not be.

Tsriq Feb 17, 2017 05:26am

So blame othets for their incompetencies.Bhutto zinda hei!

Sameer Feb 17, 2017 06:30am

Bakhtawar, I pray for the day when you will come to civil Hospitals of Sindh for urgent medical treatment. Only then will you know what horrors you have committed. Stop this propoganda of shifting blame.

MR Pahore Feb 17, 2017 06:40am

Its not only PPP is responsible, but we all are responsible for this type of massacarë because we don't raise voice against inept politicians who don't have vision and plan to develop the country, SEWEN is in the constituency of ruling CM Sindh, and years back his Father was the CM of Sindh despite being elected second time CM from SEWEN but there is no infrastructure in SEWEN........ Govt should build hospitals in every district that provide health facilities to all irrespective of caste and color.

On the otherhand, security agencies and federal government are equally responsible. their duty is to protect human right and keep eye on the hidden movements since last few days terrorits are targeting masses but govt and agencies have only wait and see policy............. RIP to Govts.

Namlas Feb 17, 2017 06:43am

No electricity, no ambulance, no hospital, no roads but "Bhutoo Zinda hai"

Namlas Feb 17, 2017 06:49am

I hope Sindh will vote again to PPP coz 'Bhutto Zinda hai'. People of Sindh are real devotees even if their coming generations will be killed they will keep electing PPP coz "Bhutto Zinda Hai"

ysk Feb 17, 2017 06:59am

Alas. People looking to blame politicians/estb/outside forces but are mum when qadri and similar are celebrated. All those attacks cannot be coordinated without help from insiders and look the other way of society

Q Feb 17, 2017 07:10am

It was even more heartening and depressing to see potential preventable casualties dying because of lack of basic healthcare in rural Sindh. We the public deserve it right for choosing family oriented dynasties running the helm of affairs for decades and country divided on political and sectarian lines.

JJohn Feb 17, 2017 07:24am

@Vipassana, Thanks Mate,

Atta Hussain khoso Feb 17, 2017 07:58am

No Hospital, No Ambulance, No Administration, No Humanity, No State. In Cauldron of such brutality; I request all the people outside the Shrine to come forward and help the injured devotees. I expect a better and quick reaction from them than from the Government.

nizamuddin Ahmad Aali Feb 17, 2017 08:41am

Pakistan in general and Sindh in particular has no ambulance service. NGO owned pick up trucks converted ambulances owned by Edhi & Chipa has serviced the entire province of Sindh. This is a shameful attitude of Sindh Government. Billions are spent on state festivals, while billions are stolen by the PWD, sanitary, public road funds and from hospitals. Not a single hospital is built either by the Sindh government or federal government. The Sindh politicians can not sell Bhutto Saheb and Be Nazir's name for ever. The entire PPP should be damned for what they have not done for the people. I pray to The God Almighty for the souls of the Saheeds & curse the leadership of the terrorists and politicians who have caused the sufferings.

Asoomro Feb 17, 2017 09:29am

I wish Sindh govt could spend some money on people i.e infrastructure including hospitals and eduaction.

Punjab govt is the only govt which cares about its people.

It is not a question about terrorism but a question mark on what and where our tax payers money is being spent by PPP Govt?

khan Feb 17, 2017 10:07am

The reason I fail to understand that why people are supporting Pakistan people party which is corrupt to its core.sindh is unlucky province to be ruled by PPP and MQM.

asif uddin Feb 17, 2017 10:09am

jiay bhutto , no hospital , no ambulance jiay bhutto

Muhammad Feb 17, 2017 10:29am

When PPP is getting votes without doing anything then why should it toil hard ? and I dam sure that PPP will also win the next elections with heavy margins

Muhammad Feb 17, 2017 10:32am

@Vipassana I 100% agree with you India and Pakistan should made a union like EU including Bangladesh, Sri lanka infact SAARC should be converted into a union like EU and all SAARC countries should pool their resources and skills to help and develop each other with the view turning this region into the best region with regard to Human development

D.K. PAMNANI Feb 17, 2017 10:38am

Let both Indian and Pakistan Government should do important steps to eliminate the terrorism in their regions. Let both the government educate people that terrorism is not the way to settle the issue. It is only talk, talk and talk. My condolences to the bereaved families.

backward Sain Feb 17, 2017 10:52am

nobody will believe the people of Sindh are living in stone age come and visit few hundred meter radius of Garhi khuda Baksh shrine

Anonymous Feb 17, 2017 11:10am

Wake up call for Sindhis who are electing these thugs just to get petty benefits.

pakistani Feb 17, 2017 11:15am

we have corrupted parties PPP and PML are major corrupted parties in pakistan.

Mujtaba Feb 17, 2017 11:16am

Sindh Government gave a list to federal government to ban certain Religious seminaries in Sindh.. but the list was rejected by the interior minister and were allowed to operate freely.

SK Feb 17, 2017 12:11pm

Phir bhi Bhutto zinda hai..... You reap what you sow- keep voting for inept, corrupt feudals and they will keep delivering NOTHING

Aqeel Feb 17, 2017 12:17pm

Mr bilawal. Plz grow some spine.

MJS Feb 17, 2017 12:23pm

This was indeed a very tragic incident and who ever is responsible must be punished. Those who are responsible for the security lapse of shrine must also be punished.

alpha Feb 17, 2017 12:55pm

PPP is just talk and no action. They dont even provide 'roti, kapra , makan ' to their own constituencies

Naveed Feb 17, 2017 02:51pm

A very sad incidence, loss of precious lives, but PPP has been in power in Sindh forever and they haven't fixed a thing till the Ranger took control of the law and order. The people of Sindh should realize by now that it is in best interest to oust this new generation of politicians that talk the talk, have don't know how to walk the walk,

ABE Feb 17, 2017 03:56pm

PPP-led Sindh is the worst in the country.

It cannot even administer Karachi or organize garbage collection, yet spends more on Security for its leadership than garbage trucks. What can we say, the trucks are seemingly already full of....

Justice Feb 17, 2017 04:15pm

It's time for the people of Sind to decide their destiny, people need to get rid of PPP government, PPP has become the personal political party of Asif Zardari,

Muhammad Feb 17, 2017 06:54pm

@Justice "It's time for the people of Sind to decide their destiny, people need to get rid of PPP government, PPP has become the personal political party of Asif Zardari" Rest assured PPP will win next general elections in rural Sindh and Lyari with heavy margins people vote for "Bhutto" not for development, education, health and safety etc

Dheeraj Rai Feb 18, 2017 11:12am

Sindh Government Is Completely Fail I Bringing Peace In Sindh. The Attack In Sehwan Also Shows That There Is No One Here For The Security Of There Saint's Shrines I Have No More Words For Sindh Government
