MUZAFFARABAD: A woman was injured in Kotli district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Friday in Indian shelling from across the Line of Control (LoC), an official said.

Sehrish Bibi, 35, was in her house in Janjot Bahadar village of Khuiratta sector when she became a victim of Indian shelling at 10.15am, a police official told Dawn from the area.

She was taken to the Kotli DHQ hospital.

On Thursday, Indian troops had resorted to shelling in Khanjar sector in AJK’s Bhimber district.
