A whopping 95 food stalls are serving their goods at Karachi Eat 2017 — and unfortunately, we can't eat everything on display.

We can, however, take advantage of the variety on offer.

Here's how to make a 7-course meal out of Karachi Eat fare.

Amuse bouche

Whet your appetite by popping in a mouthful of three cheese manakeesh from Manakeesh. Its subtle flavour will have you craving for the savouries to come.

Price: Rs250

Appetizer

You'd want something spicy and saucy after the manakeesh, and Crunch n Munch's Wild Vengeance Wings are it! Delicious, yet leaving room for much more.

Price: Rs300

OR

Breast & Loin served up the prettiest samosas with unexpected flavours. Who wouldn't want to try qeema/red bean samosas?

Price: Rs

Soup

You'll thank us when you're slurping cream of chicken soup from Knorr. It'll warm you from the inside! You'll need that today.

Price: Rs50

Salad

Get a dose of protein a little early on the menu with tenderloin strips from Meat Up, served with a generous garnishing of greens.

Price: Rs300

Palate Cleanser

Take a break and pop in a paan chocolate from Coco 9 to refresh your mouth. You'll be on to the next half of your course in no time.

Main Course

The Jucy Lucy Gouda Burger is probably the most-talked-about burger at Karachi Eat for good reason. The patty is stuffed with cheese!

Price: Rs400

OR

The Thai red curry from Sugaries is special because it's made from fresh, homemade cocunut milk and cream and ingredients brought in from Thailand!

Price: Rs300

Dessert

The Ferrero Rocher Waffles from The Waffle Cart should satisfy your sweet tooth. If not, there's still more on the course for you.

Beverage

Sneak in a second dessert, cos the paan shot is not only not shot-sized, but also contains blended ice-cream spiked with paan flavouring.

Price: Rs100

In a country like Pakistan, you should be talking about what the masses get to eat. Many do not get even three meals a day, forget 7 courses in one meal! Do not lose perspective!

As one who grew up in Karachi during the 60s, looking at the choices on offer in this blog, I'm disappointed to see that the taste buds have switched gears and are inclined towards non-Pakistani dishes or variations thereof rather than elevating and refining the indigenous delicacies from various parts of the country.

In a poverty-stricken country like Pakistan suggesting a 7-course meal is just insulting. Even myself, while living in far-off Canada, feel truly guilty. I wish I could help my country of origin in my own humble way..

@Mubasshir Carry the prayer in your heart. This can be done anywhere. No special place is required. I have always done this without making a show. Just have a good time at Karachi Eat.

By Indian standards the prices quoted seem expensive, though food looks quite yummy. As someone suggested some local fare could have been made available.

@IRS , judging by the likes given to this comment, it appears that our majority is paindu and is happy with only having daal roti and chicken tikka. Which is absolutely fine, just don't put the rest of us down who want to widen our pallete and our love for variety of flavors and presentation.

@Chris Roberts Why do you eat food? Eat only in heart without making show!

@Waqas Bin Adam The point I was making was that God will hear your prayers no matter where you are. Having no special designated place for prayer doesn't stop one from offering prayers silently.
