PESHAWAR: PML-N provincial president Pir Sabir Shah has insisted PTI chairman is trying to dislodge the federal government at the cost of national interests through the Panama Leaks case.

In a statement issued here, Mr. Shah said the PTI chief’s dream to see Nawaz Sharif’s ouster over the Panama Leaks case would never fulfil.

“It is Imran Khan’s last bid to save his face but he will not succeed this time around, too,” he said.

The PML-N leader said if a man (Imran Khan) had miserably failed to manage the affairs of a single province (KP), how he could live up to the expectations of the people of the entire country.

He said the people of KP had a bad experience of governance during the PTI government and therefore, they wanted to get rid of the ‘people, who came to power accidentally’.

“The time has come that the people of KP come onto the streets against the ruling PTI to force it into fulfilling election promises,” he said. Mr. Shah said the parties ruling the province at the moment won’t succeed in the next general elections.

He said the PTI chief claimed to have eradicated corruption from the province but he didn’t know where development funds had gone. The PML-N leader said on one hand, the PTI government hadn’t initiated a single mega development scheme since its formation but on the other, it faced a serious financial crisis.

“Criticising others is an easy job but boldly facing criticism is very difficult. Our (PML-N) leadership has always tolerated even baseless propaganda against it but the opposition parties, especially PTI, cannot put up with even positive criticism,” he said.

Mr. Shah said the nation knew Imran Khan’s ‘real agenda of destruction’.

He said the PTI chief had nothing to do with national interests and that he was trying in vain to become the prime minister through backdoor.

The PML-N leader said Imran Khan had long been doing U-turns on his policies but had never bothered to apologise for that.

He said the PTI should stop playing negative politics and focus its attention on the welfare of KP people.

Mr. Shah said his party would emerge as the single largest party in the next general elections to form KP government.
