Kashmir schools

Published January 17, 2017

IN 2005 earthquake in Azad Kashmir a large number of students were killed, while almost all educational institution buildings collapsed.

School and college buildings have no roof yet. The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government and the federal government did nothing to construct these destroyed schools and colleges.

Another disappointing factor is low education standards. Teachers do not take classes regularly. They send their own children to private schools, while public schools are for poor students.

The AJK government along with the federal government should rebuild all educational institutions and ensure that teachers regularly come to schools and colleges.
