BATTAGRAM: Distribution of Sehat Sahulat Insaf cards began in Battagram district on Saturday.

Talking to this correspondent on the occasion, Imtiaz Ahmed, coordinator Zwanan Development Organisation, said that his organisation would distribute about 38,442 Sehat Insaf cards among the deserving families.

According to him, a Sehat card holder would get treatment facility in public sector hospitals throughout the KP province, and that the government would pay expenditures of up to Rs540,000 per year per family. He added that the government had also signed a contract with selected private hospitals in the district to ensure best healthcare to the poor community.

Mr Ahmed said that as many as eight members of a family having Sehat Insaf card could avail the treatment facility under the project. The distribution of Sehat cards has started in Ajmera, Shamlai, Gijbori, Peshora and Thakot union councils.
