LAHORE: The board of governors of Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex and Hospital on Thursday decided to create around 100 seats of trainee doctors in the institution.

Punjab Minister for Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Salman Rafiq presided over the 45th BoG meeting that also approved Rs4.65bn budget of the institution for 2016-17.

The meeting also approved in principle the proposal for revamping of Shaikh Zayed Hospital at a cost of Rs200 million.

The details will be finalised in collaboration with the Specialised Healthcare Department and the Shaikh Zayed Hospital.
