How many times have we heard this phrase: ‘We are just friends’? Answer: Countless.

When does one usually utter it? Answer: When one tries to hide the real contours of a relationship.

That’s why it’s hard to believe when the sassy and sultry item girl Malaika Arora relays a message through the media that there’s nothing special going on between her and actor Arjun Kapoor, and that they are ‘just friends’. Mind you, she was recently separated from actor and producer Arbaaz Khan.

Despite her clarification, India’s gossip mongers are adamant that she and Arjun K are an ‘item’. Pun intended.
